Hungarian Goulash
Hungarian Goulash is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 onion, chopped, 3 tbsp. vegetable oil, 2 1/2 lb. lean beef stew meat, cut in cubes, 2 tbsp. paprika and 1/4 tsp. ground pepper, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.

Saute onion in oil; set aside.
Add meat; brown well on all sides.
Sprinkle with paprika, salt and pepper.
Add broth and soup can of water, wine, pepper flakes and sauteed onion.
Bring to boiling point.
Reduce heat; cover and simmer 2 hours or until meat is tender.
Remove meat to serving platter.
Strain gravy, if desired.
Mix flour with remaining 1/3 cup water.
Gradually add to gravy.
Cook until thickened, stirring.
Blend in sour cream. Heat only until hot.
Spoon over beef cubes.
Serve with poppy seed noodles.
