French Onion Soup
French Onion Soup is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3 large onions, thinly sliced, 1/2 c. butter or margarine, 2 tbsp. instant beef bouillon or 6 bouillon cubes, 4 c. hot water and 1/2 tsp. worcestershire sauce, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.

In large skillet or slow cooking pot with browning unit, cook onions in butter until lightly browned.
In crock-pot, combine browned onions in butter with bouillon, water, Worcestershire sauce and salt.
Cover and cook on low, 4 to 6 hours.
Top each bowl with toasted French bread sprinkled with cheese.
Makes 4 servings. Recipe may be doubled.
Keep hot in slow cooking pot and serve from pot.
