Fettucine Alfredo
Fettucine Alfredo is an easy dinner. Made with 2 to 3 c. egg noodles (uncooked), 1/2 c. butter, 1 c. whipping cream, 1/4 c. freshly grated parmesan cheese (additional cheese, if desired) and salt and pepper to taste, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.
Melt butter in large skillet.
When butter foams, add cream.
Simmer over medium heat about 2 minutes until slightly thickened.
Season with salt and pepper.
Fill a very large saucepan 2/3 full with salted water.
Cook, uncovered, until tender, but firm to the bite.
Place in skillet with cream.
Add 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese.
Toss noodles and sauce over medium heat until sauce coats noodles, 20 to 30 seconds.
Serve with additional cheese, if desired.
