Double Decker Fudge
Double Decker Fudge is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. sugar, 1 c. sour cream, 2 tbsp. butter or margarine, dash of salt and 3 tbsp. cocoa, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.
In a saucepan, combine sugar, sour cream, butter and salt. Butter sides of pan and mix cocoa and water and stir into saucepan. Bring to a boil.
Boil until 238Β° on a candy thermometer or until a small amount of syrup when dropped into cold water, forms a soft ball.
Remove from heat and cool to lukewarm.
Stir in nuts and beat until mixture thickens.
Spread into a foil lined 8-inch square pan.
In a saucepan, combine condensed milk and chips.
Stir until smooth and melted.
Spread mixture evenly over cocoa fudge. Chill until firm.
Using foil, pull from pan and cut into squares.
