Dinner Rolls
Dinner Rolls is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2/3 c. milk, 1/2 c. sugar, 2 tsp. salt, 6 tbsp. butter or margarine and 2/3 c. warm water (105~ to 115~), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.
Scald milk in a small saucepan; stir in 1/2 cup sugar, salt and butter.
Cool to lukewarm.
Combine water and 2 tablespoons sugar in a large mixing bowl; add yeast, stirring to dissolve. Stir in cooled milk mixture and eggs; mix well.
Add 3 cups flour, mixing well.
Add remaining 3 cups flour and mix well.
Turn dough out on a floured surface and knead until smooth and elastic. Place in a well-greased bowl, turning to grease top.
Cover and let rise in a warm place, free from drafts, until doubled in bulk (about 1 1/2 hours).
Punch dough down.
Shape into 3/4-inch balls.
Place 3 in each cup of well-greased muffin pans.
Cover and let rise in a warm place until doubled in bulk.
Bake at 375Β° for 10 minutes.
Yield
