Creole Pralines
Creole Pralines is an easy dinner. Made with 1 c. dark brown sugar, packed, 1 c. sugar, 1/2 c. cream, 2 tbsp. butter and 1 1/2 c. pecan halves, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

Combine sugar and cream on low heat until dissolved.
Cook on high heat (thermometer in place).
Wash crystals from sides with brush dipped in water until 230°.
Stir in butter and pecans; continue to cook until at 239° to 240°.
Cool 2 to 3 minutes without stirring.
Now gently stir until thick and pecans are coated with mixture.
Drop by spoonfuls on foil or wax paper. Allow to cool.
Makes 20 pieces.
