Chicken Liver Pâté with Bacon
Chicken Liver Pâté With Bacon is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 lb. chicken livers, 1 c. chicken broth (can use bouillon), 1/4 medium onion, sliced, 6 slices bacon, crisp and drained and 1/2 c. very soft margarine or butter, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simmer livers in broth with onions until livers are tender, about 15 minutes.
Let cool in broth.
Drain and reserve broth. Put 1/4 cup of broth, livers, onions and remaining ingredients into a blender or food processor.
Cover and run on high speed until smooth.
Refrigerate in a covered container at least 24 hours to blend flavors.
Makes about 2 cups.
