Chicken Cordon Bleu
Chicken Cordon Bleu is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 skinless, boneless chicken breasts per serving, thinly sliced swiss cheese, thinly sliced boiled ham, 2 c. italian flavored bread crumbs and 6 oz. finely crushed potato chips, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.
Pound chicken until thin.
Top 1 chicken breast with 1 slice of cheese, 1 slice of ham and 1 slice of cheese.
Top with chicken breast.
Salt and pepper; dip in beaten egg and milk mixture. Coat with flour.
Dip again in egg mixture and coat with mixture of bread crumbs and crushed chips.
Fry in butter until brown and tender, turning once.
May be served with butter sauce, cheese sauce or Hollandaise sauce.
