Cheesy Baked Onions
Cheesy Baked Onions is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 large onion, 2 tbsp. margarine, 2 tbsp. flour, 1/2 tsp. salt and 1 c. milk, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.
Slice onion thin and separate into rings and put in greased 1-quart baking dish.
Set aside.
In small saucepan over low heat, melt butter; stir in flour and salt until smooth.
Gradually add milk; bring to a boil over medium heat.
Cook and stir for two minutes.
Remove from heat.
Stir in cheese until melted.
Pour over onion rings.
Bake at 350Β° for 45 to 50 minutes or until onion is tender and cheese melts and browns.
Yield: 4 servings. (Can be halved.)
