Cheese Bread Soufflé
Cheese Bread Soufflé is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 8 slices day old enriched bread, 4 egg yolks, beaten, 3/4 tsp. marjoram, 1/4 tsp. pepper and 1 1/2 c. sharp cheddar cheese, grated, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.

Crumble bread finely into large mixing bowl.
Heat milk until almost simmering.
Remove from heat and blend small amount into egg yolks.
Gradually add egg mixture to remaining milk, salt and spice.
Cook over medium heat until slightly thickened.
Remove from heat.
Stir in cheese and pimento; stir until cheese melts. Blend into crumbs.
Beat egg whites until stiff, but not dry. Thoroughly fold into bread mixture.
Put into a greased 1 1/2 quart casserole.
Bake at 325° for 40 to 60 minutes until an inserted knife comes out clean.
Serve immediately . . . won't wait.
