Cheese Biscuits

In a mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder and baking soda. Cut in shortening until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in the cheese. Add buttermilk; stir just until the dough clings together. On a slightly floured surface, knead the dough lightly until easy to handle. Roll into a 12-inch circle.
Cut into 8 wedges. Begin at wide end of wedge and roll toward the point. Place biscuits point side down on a greased baking sheet. Bake at 450Β° for 12 to 14 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm.
