Caramel Pound Cake
Caramel Pound Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3 c. sugar, 3 sticks butter or margarine, 6 eggs, 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla and 1/2 tsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.
Preheat oven at 350°.
Grease and flour large pound cake pan. Blend softened butter, Philadelphia cream cheese, vanilla and sugar.
Add eggs, one at a time.
Next, add sifted flour with salt.
Mix at medium speed until well blended.
If mix becomes too thick, you can add milk, a tablespoon at a time, until desired consistency is obtained.
Bake at 350° for 1 1/2 hours or until done.
Sometimes what I'll do at the end of the scheduled baking time, if the cake still isn't done, reduce the heat to 325° and continue to bake until done.
Allow to cool about 10 minutes before you remove cake from pan.
