Candied Violets
Candied Violets is an easy dinner. Made with 2 egg whites, sugar and 1 large bunch wild violets with stems, washed, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.

In one bowl, beat egg whites until frothy.
Put sugar in another bowl.
Pick up violet by stem; dip in egg whites and then in sugar.
Totally cover.
Put on waxed paper.
Snip off stem. With toothpick, open flower petals.
Dry in 200Β° oven for 30 to 40 minutes or until sugar crystallizes.
Remove flowers with spatula or fork.
Store in airtight container with waxed paper between layers.
