Buttermilk Rolls (Kolachi)
Buttermilk Rolls (Kolachi) is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/2 c. warm water, 2 tsp. sugar, 2 pkg. dry yeast, 4 egg yolks and 1 whole egg, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

Mix first 3 ingredients.
Let stand 5 minutes.
Beat egg yolks, egg, oleo, salt and sugar.
Warm buttermilk and soda.
Mix all together except flour.
Add flour gradually and knead for 8 minutes until a smooth ball.
Let rise until double in size.
Make crescent rolls or fill with your favorite fruit filling.
Let rise again and bake at 400Β° for 18 to 20 minutes until brown.
Brush dough with melted butter each time you let it rise and after baking.
