Butter Baked Rice
Butter Baked Rice is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. long grain rice, 1/3 c. butter or margarine, 1 tsp. salt, dash of garlic salt and 1 (13 3/4 oz.) can chicken broth (1 3/4 c.), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Combine salt and 2 cups water.
Bring to a boil and pour over rice.
Let stand for 30 minutes.
Rinse rice with cold water and drain well.
Melt butter in skillet.
Add rice and cook over medium heat, stirring frequently, until butter is almost absorbed, about 5 minutes.
Turn into 1-quart casserole.
Sprinkle with garlic salt.
Pour broth over.
Bake covered in 325Β° oven for 45 minutes.
Add parsley and fluff with a fork.
Sprinkle with almonds.
Bake uncovered for 10 more minutes.
