Burgundy Onions
Burgundy Onions is an easy dinner. Made with 5 or 6 (3-inch) white spanish onions, 3 tbsp. butter, 3 whole cloves, 1/2 tsp. salt and 1 c. burgundy wine, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.

Cut onions into 1/4-inch slices.
This should be about 2-quarts. Separate the slices into rings.
Heat butter in skillet. Add onions, tossing them about with a wooden spoon until rings are coated with butter.
Add cloves and salt. Continue to cook over low heat until onions just start to brown. Add wine. Cover pan and simmer about 15 minutes.
Onions should be slightly crisp but tender.
Remove cover and cook until wine is reduced to a glaze. Serve at once. Makes 6 to 8 servings.
