Beef Stroganoff
Beef Stroganoff is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 4 tbsp. butter, 1/2 lb. mushrooms, 1 onion, sliced, 1 1/2 lb. round steak or leftover roast and 6 tbsp. flour, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Cook mushrooms and onion in butter for 3 minutes.
Remove and add floured 1 1/2-inch strips or chunks of beef.
Add more butter or shortening, if necessary.
Brown quickly.
Add 2 cups stock or bouillon cubes and water.
Add mushrooms, onion and gravy flavoring.
Cover tightly and cook 1 hour or until meat is tender. Ten minutes before serving, stir in sour cream.
Serve with noodles or mashed potatoes.
