Basic Roll Dough
Basic Roll Dough is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3 1/2 c. flour, 1 pkg. active dry yeast, 1 1/4 c. milk, 1/4 c. sugar and 1 tsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Packed with nutrients and delicious flavors.

Combine 1 1/2 cups flour and yeast.
Heat milk, sugar, shortening and salt just until warm, stirring constantly until shortening almost melts.
Add to dry mixture.
Add egg.
Beat at low speed with mixer for 1/2 minute.
Beat 3 minutes on high speed.
By hand, stir in remaining flour to make a soft dough. Shape into ball.
Place in lightly greased bowl.
Turn once to grease surface.
Cover and let rise in warm place until double, 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
Punch down, turn on floured surface.
Cover and let rest 10 minutes.
Shape into rolls.
Cover and let rise in warm place until double 30 to 45 minutes.
Bake at 400Β° for 10 to 12 minutes.
