White Mountain Cream
White Mountain Cream is an easy dinner. Made with 1 1/2 c. sugar, 1/2 tsp. light corn syrup, 2/3 c. boiling hot water, 2 egg whites, stiffly beaten and 1 tsp. vanilla, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.
Combine sugar, syrup and water.
Place over low flame and stir constantly until sugar is dissolved and mixture boils. Continue cooking until a small amount of syrup forms a soft ball in cold water or spins a thread when dropped from tip of spoon. Pour syrup in fine stream over beaten egg whites, beating constantly.
Add vanilla; continue beating until mixture loses its gloss.
