Whipped Cream Frosting
Whipped Cream Frosting is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3/4 c. sugar, 3/4 c. warm milk, 1 egg, 3 tbsp. flour and 1/2 c. butter or margarine, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Mix sugar, warm milk, egg and flour with egg beater or wire whisk.
Cook very slowly, stirring constantly until it thickens. (I use a small SilverStone frypan to prevent it from sticking.) Cool completely.
Cream butter, shortening, 1/2 teaspoon of milk and vanilla.
Beat in cooled, cooked mixture.
Beat until fluffy, about 5 minutes.
