Vegetable Scallop
Vegetable Scallop is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 4 tbsp. (1/2 stick) butter or margarine, 4 tbsp. flour, 1/2 tsp. dry mustard, 1/2 tsp salt and 1/8 tsp pepper, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.
Melt butter or margarine in saucepan; remove from heat; blend in flour, mustard, salt, pepper and Worcestershire sauce - stir in milk.
Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until sauce thickens and boils one minute.
Add peas, beans and onions - turn into buttered 8 cup baking dish.
Make a rim of bread crumbs around edge of dish; sprinkle cheese over.
Bake in 350Β° oven for 30 min., or until top is bubbly.
