Turnip Greens
Turnip Greens is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 lb. fresh turnip greens, 3 c. water, 1/2 tsp. salt, 2 tsp. butter and 1/8 tsp. allspice, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.

Wash greens several times and drain.
Combine greens, water, salt in large Dutch oven.
Bring to a boil.
Reduce heat; simmer 1 hour or until tender.
Drain greens, reserving 1 cup liquid; set aside.
Saute onion in butter or margarine in nonstick skillet. Add onion and allspice to drained greens.
Dissolve flour and sugar in vinegar; add to reserved 1 cup liquid.
Add mixture to greens. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until thickened.
