Sweet 'n' Sour Shrimp
Sweet 'N' Sour Shrimp is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 tbsp. sesame seed, 1 large red pepper, seeded and cut in strips, 1 lb. large shrimp, shelled with tail section intact, deveined, 1/2 c. sweet and sour or duck sauce and 1 (16 oz.) can pineapple chunks, drained, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.
Preheat oven to 350Β°.
Place sesame seed on baking sheet; bake 10 minutes or until golden brown.
In large skillet, over medium high heat, heat 2 tablespoons salad oil.
Add pepper strips and shrimp; saute 2 minutes or until shrimp turns pink.
Stir in sweet and sour sauce, pineapple, water chestnuts, green onions, 1/2 teaspoon salt and the sesame seed; heat through.
Serve over rice. If desired, garnish with green onions.
