Purée onion and green pepper in blender or food processor. (If too dry to purée, add a small amount of water.)

Wet bread; do not soak.

Squeeze out excess water from bread.

Mix purée with bread (it will look like a green blob).

Mix together meat, salt, pepper and purée mixture.

Mixture should not be too wet or too dry.

If meat is too wet, add more bread.

If meat is too dry, add a little water.

Roll meat into small balls and brown in skillet.
