Swedish Meat Balls
Swedish Meat Balls is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/2 lb. ground beef, 1/2 c. lean ground pork, 1/2 c. finely ground rusk crumbs, 1/2 c. cream (half and half), heated to a boil and 2 egg yolks, slightly beaten, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Soak crumbs in hot cream.
Mix ground meat, soaked crumbs, egg yolks, seasonings and onions.
Roll into balls the size of walnuts.
Roll in flour.
Brown in hot fat, turning to brown evenly.
Place meatballs in casserole dish with 1 or 2 tablespoons drippings and 1 tablespoon water.
Cover and bake 60 minutes in 300Β° oven.
