Stuffed Spinach Pizza
Stuffed Spinach Pizza is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 loaf (1 lb.) frozen white bread dough, 1 1/2 c. chopped plum tomatoes, 1/2 lb. bulk italian sausage, cooked, well drained (optional), 1 tsp. basil and 1/4 tsp. each oregano, pepper and salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.
Thaw bread dough and let rise according to package directions. Roll 2/3 down onto 11-inch circle on lightly floured surface.
Line bottom and sides of greased 9-inch cake pan with dough.
Place tomatoes and sausage in pan.
Sprinkle with basil, oregano and pepper.
Combine Ricotta, spinach, Mozzarella, 3/4 cup Parmesan, garlic and salt; spread over tomatoes.
Roll remaining dough into 9-inch circle.
Place over cheese mixture.
Pinch edges to seal. Bake at 450Β° for 25 minutes.
Spread with pizza sauce.
Sprinkle with remaining Parmesan cheese.
Bake 10 minutes more.
Let stand 10 minutes before serving.
