Strawberry Swirl Salad Squares is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 (3 oz.) pkg. strawberry gelatin, 2 c. boiling water, 2 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen, sliced strawberries with sugar added, 1/2 c. water and 2 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.

In a large bowl, dissolve gelatin in 2 cups boiling water.
Add frozen strawberries.
Stir to thaw strawberries, using a large fork to break up frozen berries.
Stir in 1/2 cup water.
Turn mixture into an ungreased 8-inch square baking dish.
Refrigerate until partially set.
In a small bowl, beat cream cheese and milk with electric mixer on medium speed until fluffy.
Beat in mayonnaise or salad dressing.
Spread cream cheese mixture on top of gelatin. Cut through cheese mixture with a knife to create a marbled effect. Refrigerate until set.
Arrange lettuce leaves on salad plates. Cut salad into squares and serve on lettuce-lined plates.
Garnish with fresh strawberries, if desired.
