Strawberry Pie
Strawberry Pie is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 baked (9-inch) pie shell, 1 qt. unsweetened strawberries, 3/4 c. sugar, 3/4 c. water and 1/8 c. (2 tbsp.) cornstarch, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Baked 9-inch pie shell with 1 quart of sliced unsweetened strawberries. Bring and cook until thick and clear, stirring constantly: sugar, water, cornstarch and salt.
Remove from heat and add a few drops of red food coloring package (1/4 cup) strawberry Jell-O. Stir in and let cool.
Pour cooled sauce over strawberries and refrigerate at least 4 to 6 hours.
Serve with whipped cream. Peaches substituted for the strawberries and peach Jell-O.
