Spiral Cinnamon Raisin Bread
Spiral Cinnamon Raisin Bread is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 1/2 c. milk, 1/4 c. sugar, 2 tsp. salt, 1/2 c. butter and 1/2 c. warm water, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.
Heat milk until bubbles form.
Remove and add 1/4 cup sugar, salt, 1/2 cup butter and raisins. Cool to lukewarm.
Sprinkle yeast with 1/2 cup warm water. Stir milk mixture in with yeast. Add eggs and 4 cups flour. Beat with a wooden spoon 2 minutes.
Add last of the flour. With hand, mix until dough is stiff. Turn dough onto floured board.
Knead 10 minutes.
Place in a greased bowl. Turn dough over so greased side is up. Cover with towel and let rise until doubled, about 1 1/2 hours.
