Spicy Salisbury Cutlets With Sweet Onion Relish is an impressive dinner. Made with 1 1/2 lb. lean ground beef, 1/2 sweet red pepper, finely chopped, 1/2 green pepper, finely chopped, 1/2 c. dry bread crumbs and 1/4 c. dijon mustard, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, red and green peppers, bread crumbs, Dijon mustard, chili powder, hot pepper flakes, onion powder, garlic powder, paprika, black pepper, dried basil, thyme and egg.
Shape the mixture into 4 patties.
In a skillet, heat 1 Tbsp. of the oil.
Saute Salisbury steaks, about 5 minutes on each side, until golden brown.
Remove from pan and keep warm in oven.
In the skillet, heat the remaining 1 Tbsp. oil.
Saute the red onions for 3 minutes.
Add the apple juice and honey.
Saute until onions are golden brown.
Serve relish over Salisbury steaks.
