South Carolina Cobbler(Or Poor Boy Cobbler)
South Carolina Cobbler(Or Poor Boy Cobbler) is an easy dinner. Made with 1 c. self-rising flour, 1/2 c. sugar, 1 c. water, 1 can cherry pie filling or other fruit filling and 1 stick margarine, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.

Heat oven to 400Β°.
Put margarine in 8 x 8 x 2-inch baking dish.
Heat in oven until sizzling hot.
Heat cherry filling on top of range until bubbly hot.
Mix together flour, sugar and water.
Batter will be thin.
Remove baking dish from oven.
Pour half of batter into melted butter, add filling and drizzle remaining batter over top.
Bake 15 to 20 minutes or until golden brown.
Sprinkle a small amount of sugar on crust the last few minutes of baking.
Recipe can be doubled - use larger baking dish.
