Sourdough Starter
Sourdough Starter is an moderately easy dessert you can prepare in about 1 hour 20 minutes. Made with c. unsifted flour, . dry yeast, . sugar and c. warm water, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.
Combine flour, sugar and dry yeast in large bowl.
Gradually add warm water and beat until smooth.
Cover with Saran Wrap.
Let stand in warm place for 2 days.
To use in bread recipe as directed to replenish starter, add to the remaining starter 1 1/2 cups flour and 1 cup warm water.
Beat until smooth.
Cover and keep in a warm place.
Stir before using.
If not used in 1 week, remove 1 1/2 cups starter and follow directions for replenishing.
