Sesame Cumin Bow Ties
Sesame Cumin Bow Ties is an easy dinner. Made with 2 tsp. cumin, 3/4 tsp. salt, 2 tbsp. sesame seed, 1 sheet frozen pepperidge farm puff pastry, thawed and 1 egg white, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.
Heat oven to 375Β°.
Combine cumin and salt.
Sprinkle 1/2 of the salt mixture and 1 tablespoon of the sesame seed over lightly floured work surface.
Place pastry on top.
Sprinkle pastry with remaining salt mixture and sesame seed.
Roll pastry into a rectangle approximately 11 x 14-inch.
While rolling pastry, press sesame seed into the pastry.
With a sharp knife, cut pastry crosswise into strips about 1 inch wide and cut each long strip into 4 short ones.
Take each strip, twist and pinch center to form a bow tie.
Place about 1 inch apart on an ungreased cookie sheet.
Beat egg white with 1 tablespoon of water and brush over top of bow ties. Bake until golden brown, about 10 minutes.
Makes 52 bow ties.
