Scalloped Oysters
Scalloped Oysters is an easy dinner. Made with 1 pt. medium oysters, 1/2 c. melted butter, 2 c. cream and 1 c. cracker crumbs, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.
Pour melted butter over the cracker crumbs (stir well).
Spread 1/3 of the cracker crumbs on the bottom of the buttered casserole. Cover with 1/2 of the oysters (can either be cut up or whole, if you prefer the whole oyster).
Then add another 1/3 of the cracker mix and the remaining 1/2 of the oysters.
Season to taste with salt and pepper.
Cover all this with last 1/3 of the cracker mix. Pour the 2 cups of cream over this entire casserole.
Bake in a moderate 350Β° oven for about 40 minutes or until browned on top and around the edges.
