Salisbury Steak
Salisbury Steak is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 lb. lean ground sirloin, 1/2 c. half and half, 1 tbsp. grated onion, 1/2 tsp. salt and pepper and 2 tbsp. butter, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

Mix beef with cream, onion, salt and pepper.
Shape into 4 thick patties.
Heat butter in skillet; quickly brown meat patties on both sides and remove from pan.
Add flour to drippings in skillet and blend.
Add wine and consomme slowly; stir until thickened and smooth.
Add remaining ingredients; return patties to sauce.
Simmer, covered, until done, 5 minutes or more to taste.
Serves 3 to 4.
