Red Beans and Rice
Red Beans And Rice is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. dried red beans, 1 3/4 c. chicken stock, 1 c. drained, crushed, canned tomatoes, 3/4 c. water and 1 tbsp. worcestershire sauce, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Bring a large pot of water to a boil, place the beans in the pot, stir.
Turn off stove.
Let stand 2 hours.
Preheat oven to 350Β°.
Combine stock, tomatoes, water, Worcestershire sauce, bay leaves and salt.
Drain beans and add to mixture.
Add ham or sausage, onion and garlic; bring to a boil.
Place in Dutch oven or covered casserole dish.
Bake 1 1/2 hours until beans are tender.
Serve over rice.
