Pound Cake
Pound Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 4 1/2 c. sifted cake flour, 2 tsp. baking powder, 1 tsp. salt, 2 c. butter and 2 1/2 c. sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.

Sift flour with baking powder and salt.
Cream butter 10 minutes or until very soft and fluffy.
Add sugar, two tablespoons at a time, creaming thoroughly after each addition.
Blend in vanilla and mace.
Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Add flour alternately with milk, beginning and ending with flour and beating after each addition until smooth. Bake in a greased and floured 10-inch tube pan at 325Β° about 1 1/2 hours or until cake tester inserted into cake comes out clean. Cool in pan 15 minutes; remove and finish cooling on rack.
Glaze top and drizzle down sides of cake with Orange Butter Glaze. Sprinkle with flaked coconut.
