Potatoes Savoyarde
Potatoes Savoyarde is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 4 tbsp. butter, cut in pieces, 3 cloves garlic, minced, 2 tbsp. parsley, chopped, 1 1/2 c. shredded cheese (gruyere or swiss) and 1/4 tsp. pepper, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

Preheat oven to 350°.
Butter a 2-quart baking dish or soufflé dish.
In a bowl mix together garlic, parsley, cheese and pepper. Layer 1/3 of potatoes, then 1/3 of garlic mixture.
Dot with 1 tablespoon butter; cut in pieces.
Repeat layers; top with potatoes.
Pour stock over potatoes and put on the last 1/3 of garlic mixture.
Dot with butter.
Cover with foil and bake 30 minutes.
Uncover and bake 30 to 40 minutes more, until brown and potatoes are tender.
