Popcorn Balls
Popcorn Balls is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 4 qt. popped popcorn, 2 c. sugar, 1 c. brown karo syrup, 2 tbsp. water and 2 tbsp. butter, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.
Put popped corn into large mixing bowl.
Combine sugar, syrup and water in large saucepan; bring to a boil.
When it boils it will expand in the pan.
When the mixture receeds after boiling a few minutes, it will be almost ready to remove from heat but continue to boil until it reaches a reasonably firm ball tested in cup of cold water.
Remove from heat; add butter and vanilla. Drizzle over the popped corn being careful to stir until all corn is covered with syrup thoroughly.
Wet hands with water and form into balls being careful not to pack too tightly.
Place balls on waxed paper until ready to serve.
Keeps at room temperature for several days.
