In a bowl, sift together flour, baking powder, soda and salt. Set aside.

Rinse raisins with boiling water and set aside.

In a bowl, gradually beat sugar and butter. Beat in eggs, one at a time.

Add drained raisins and nuts.

Sift in about half of the flour mixture. Stir, do not beat, until well moistened and fairly smooth. Add undrained pineapple. Stir in rest of flour quickly. Pour into greased and floured loaf pan. Sprinkle with a mixture of 2 tablespoons sugar and 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon. Bake in a preheated 350Β° oven for 60 to 70 minutes.

Makes a medium size loaf.
