Pesto Sauce is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 2/3 c. basil leaves, 6 cloves garlic, 1 c. pignoli nuts or walnuts, 1 c. extra virgin olive oil and 1 c. grated parmesan cheese, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.

In a blender: basil leaves, nuts and garlic.
Blend until fine.
Then: add oil in a thin stream while blending.
Add cheese, salt and pepper.
Serve over hot pasta, which was boiled "al dente."
