👨‍🍳 Instructions

Combine soda, water and vanilla and set aside.

Place sugar, water and corn syrup in a deep 3-quart microwave-safe bowl.

Stir to blend.

Heat sugar mix, uncovered, on Full power for 20 minutes or until candy thermometer reaches 240° (soft ball stage).

Do not cook with thermometer in oven or use temperature probe.

Stir in butter until melted.

Add peanuts and cook, uncovered, on Full power for 12 minutes or until candy thermometer reaches 300° (hard ball stage).

Stir occasionally with wooden spoon.

Grease two cookie sheets.

Stir soda, water and vanilla mix into hot candy mixture.

Quickly pour onto prepared cookie sheets and spread to 1/4-inch thickness.

When cool, break into pieces and enjoy.
