Combine sugar, corn syrup, water and salt.
Bring to rolling boil.
Add peanuts; stir constantly.
Cook slowly until mixture reaches 293Β° on candy thermometer.
Remove from heat; add baking soda.
Beat rapidly and spread as thin as possible on buttered cookie sheets.
When cool enough so that you can work with it (about 5 minutes), pull to stretch and make it even thinner.
When cold, break into pieces.
