Peach Butter
Peach Butter is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 lb. fresh peaches, peeled, pitted and chopped, 1/2 tsp. finely shredded orange peel, 3/4 c. sugar, 2 tbsp. honey and 1/8 tsp. ground allspice, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.
In a 2-quart saucepan, combine the peaches and orange juice. Bring to boiling.
Reduce heat. Cover and cook peaches in juice for 5 to 10 minutes until soft. In a blender, blend the peach mixture until smooth (you should have 1 1/2 cups purée).
Combine peach purée, orange peel, sugar, honey and allspice.
Bring to a full boil. Reduce heat and boil gently until it thickens.
Cover and store in refrigerator.
Makes about 1 1/2 cups.
