Paprikas Csirke
Paprikas Csirke is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 fryer (2 to 2 1/2 lb.), disjointed, salt and pepper to taste, 1 large onion, sliced, 4 tbsp. margarine and 1 1/2 tsp. paprika (hungarian), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Packed with nutrients and delicious flavors.
Saute onions until translucent, in margarine.
Remove onions with a slotted spoon and set aside. In remaining juices, chicken well on all sides. Return onions to pan, stir in the paprika, half of the peppers and half of tomatoes.
Cover and simmer for 15 minutes. Turn chicken; add mushrooms and cook, covered, until chicken is tender
(approximately 10 to 15 minutes). Transfer chicken to serving
Stir sour cream into Dutch oven; add little water if necessary to make pan gravy. Add additional seasoning, necessary, and pour over chicken. Garnish with remaining tomatoes and pepper slices.
Makes 4 to 6 servings.
