Oyster Stew
Oyster Stew is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 tbsp. all-purpose flour, 1 1/2 tsp. salt, 1 tsp. worcestershire sauce, dash of bottled hot pepper sauce and 1 pt. shucked oysters (undrained), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.

Blend flour, seasonings and 2 tablespoons water in a 3-quart soup kettle.
Add undrained oysters and butter; simmer over very low heat for 3 to 4 minutes, until edges of oysters curl, stirring gently.
Add scalded or hot milk; remove from heat and cover.
Let stand 15 minutes.
Reheat briefly.
Top servings with pats of butter.
Serves 4 or 5.
