Old-Fashioned Southern Fried Chicken is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 4 chicken breasts, 3 tbsp. dark karo syrup or molasses, 1 to 2 tsp. water, 1/2 c. flour and 1/2 tsp. oregano, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

Separately, mix flour, salt, pepper and oregano.
First, dip chicken in syrup mixture, then mixture.
Skillet, pour in large amount of oil.
(Oil should cover chicken 1/2 way up.) Fry until brown; and brown other side (2 to 4 minutes each side). Bake in preheated oven at 350Β° for 30 minutes.
