Old Fashioned Chocolate Fudge
Old Fashioned Chocolate Fudge is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. sugar, 2/3 c. milk, 2 sq. unsweetened chocolate (2 oz.) or 1/3 c. cocoa, 2 tbsp. light corn syrup and 1/4 tsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.
Stir over medium heat until chocolate melts and sugar dissolves.
Cook to 234Β° or until a little dropped in cold water forms a soft ball.
Stir occasionally.
Remove from heat.
Add 2 Tbsp. butter.
Cool to lukewarm without stirring.
Add 1 tsp. vanilla.
Beat until thick and no longer glossy.

Quickly stir in 1/2 c. nuts.
Pour into buttered 8 x 9-inch inch sq. pan.
When set, cut into squares.
