New England Style Corn Chowder
New England Style Corn Chowder is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 4 tbsp. (1/2 stick) margarine, 1/4 c. raw onion, chopped, 1 c. hot water, 1/4 c. carrots, finely diced and 1/4 c. celery, finely diced, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.
Melt the butter in a saucepan.
Add the onion and saute over low heat until onion is golden color.
Then add the water, carrots, celery and potatoes.
Cook until potatoes are tender (about 20 minutes).
Add corn, milk and seasonings.
Continue to heat with occasional stirring, just until chowder reaches boiling point.
Serve hot!
