Mushrooms Florentine
Mushrooms Florentine is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 pkg. frozen chopped spinach, 1 lb. fresh mushrooms, butter, 1 tsp. salt and 1/4 c. chopped onion, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.
Prepare spinach according to directions on package.
Drain well.
Cut stems from mushrooms; saute stems and caps in small amount of butter until browned.
Melt 1/4 cup butter.
Line shallow 10-inch casserole dish with spinach.
Add salt, onion and melted butter.
Sprinkle with 1/2 cup cheese.
Arrange mushrooms over cheese.
Season with garlic salt and pepper.
Sprinkle with remaining cheese.
Fold edges of spinach over top.
(Spinach won't cover whole dish on top.)
Bake for 20 minutes at 350Β° or until cheese is melted and lightly brown.
Serves 4 to 6.
